Item Valuation Guide
The Item Valuation Guide explains how D2R Loot Goblin evaluates charms, jewels, rare rings, crafted rings, rare amulets, crafted amulets, and gear (circlets, boots, and gloves). It gives players context for the score ranges, valuable affix combinations, and the difference between self-use, tradeable, premium, and GG items.
Shared Value Tier Scale (All Item Types)
Every item type uses the same 0–10 numeric score mapped to one of these six tier labels:
Low score. Little to no value.
Useable if the stats help your build.
Decent Rolls/Affix. Possible market value.
Good score. Useable, tradeable, or both.
High-demand with excellent value.
Elite score. Chase-item and solid affix combos.

Charms
The Charm Checker evaluates Small, Large, and Grand Charms. Select a prefix and/or suffix, enter your rolled values, and the tool produces a numeric score from 0–10 with a full breakdown showing where the points came from.
Two scoring paths are computed and the higher one wins: a Combo Score (prefix + suffix points + any template bonus) and a Primary Affix Value (the score of the strongest single affix). This means a charm with one exceptional affix and a weak second affix won't be penalised.
Affix Scoring Tiers
Charm Meta
Most impactful stats: Max Damage/AR, All Resist, Magic Find, Life (Small); high-demand Skiller tabs (Grand).
Charm Strong
Individual resists, FHR, Faster Run/Walk (Small); mid-demand Skiller tabs, FHR, Max Damage/AR (Grand).
Charm Useful
Low-demand Skiller tabs, Mana, individual Resists on Grand Charms. Situationally valuable.
Charm Minor
Low-impact affixes. Won't move the needle much — best paired with a stronger affix.
Roll Quality Bands
Bottom third (< 33%)
Middle third (33–65%)
Top third (≥ 66%) — earns roll bonuses on Meta/Strong tiers
Combo Template Bonus: Certain prefix + suffix combinations earn extra points — e.g. Max Damage/AR + Life on a Small Charm. The bonus scales with how well both affixes rolled. Two high rolls = full bonus; mismatched rolls = reduced bonus.
Poison Damage Overrides (Small Charm): Poison damage uses fixed discrete values that bypass the roll-band system and map directly to a score.
Poison Damage (single roll): 50 dmg = 2.5, 100 dmg = 3.0, 175 dmg = 4.0. A 15-dmg roll falls back to the normal Charm Useful tier.
Poison Damage — Dual Roll: Bundles a prefix and suffix poison roll into one absolute score. 251 dmg = 5.25, 281 dmg = 6.25, 313 dmg = 7.50, 330 dmg = 8.00, 377 dmg = 8.75, 451 dmg = 10.00 (perfect).
Small Charm
1 slotMost slot-efficient charm. High-value combos like Max Damage/AR + Life or MF + Life score well. 451 Poison Damage has its own override scoring.
Top tier: Max Damage/AR + 20 Life | 451 Poison + 20 Life | 7% MF + 20 Life
Large Charm
2 slotsSlot cost caps value. No Meta-tier affixes — best outcomes from Strong stats like max resists, FHR, or FRW paired together.
Top tier: Max single Resist + FHR | Max Resist + FRW
Grand Charm
3 slotsWhere Skillers live. High-demand Skiller earns +1 bonus. Pairing a top-meta skill tab with Life/FHR adds a combo bonus that scales with the suffix roll.
Top tier: Meta Skiller + 45 Life (GG) | Meta Skiller + 12% FHR (Premium)
Skiller Demand by Skill Tab
Sorceress Lightning Skills, Assassin Traps, Paladin Combat Skills, Amazon Javelin & Spear Skills, Warlock Eldritch Skills
Barbarian Warcries, Druid Elemental Skills, Sorceress Fire Skills, Warlock Demon Skills
All other skill tabs — situationally useful but limited trade value.

Jewels
The Jewel Checker uses the same point-based scoring engine. Magic Jewels pass their stats to socketed items, so the same jewel can matter more in one build than another. The engine supports contextual tier overrides — when a specific prefix + suffix template is matched, an affix's scoring tier can be upgraded to reflect the combo's actual demand.
How Jewel Scoring Works
Each affix is assigned to a ScoringTier (Jewel Meta, Jewel Strong, Jewel Useful). Each tier defines point values at low, mid, and high roll quality. The same roll quality bands apply as charms (Low <33%, Mid 33–65%, High ≥66%).
Contextual Tier Overrides: When a matched template upgrades an affix's tier, the score breakdown shows e.g. Suffix · Jewel Useful → Contextual Jewel Meta so you can see exactly what changed and why.
Combo Template Bonus: Certain prefix + suffix combos earn an additional bonus on top of affix points. Scales with roll quality — two high rolls earn the full bonus.
GG Combos
- →15% IAS + 40% Enhanced Damage — the best weapon jewel. Every physical attack build wants it.
- →15% IAS + 15 Max Damage — great physical DPS combo.
- →15% IAS + 15% All Resist — IAS with the most universally useful secondary.
Strong Combos
- →40% ED + Strength or Dexterity — great for melee builds needing stat boosts.
- →Max Damage + Strength / Dex / Life — solid physical damage jewels.
- →IAS + Dexterity or Strength — useful for attack builds with stat requirements.
- →Single IAS (fixed 15%) — always Good. Useful for breakpoint adjustments.

Rings
The Ring Checker supports Rare Rings and all four Crafted Ring types (Blood, Caster, Hit Power, Safety). Each affix is assigned a scoring tier and roll quality (low/mid/high) drives the exact point contribution. Points are totaled then mapped to a tier label.
Affix Scoring Tiers
Meta Affix
Most impactful stats — Life, FCR, Mana, Resistances, Life Steal. High rolls here move the score the most.
Strong Affix
Very good secondaries — push the score further up when combined with strong meta affixes.
Useful Affix
Situationally valuable. Nice to have alongside stronger stats.
Minor Affix
Low-impact. Rarely the focus of a trade conversation.
No-Value Affix
Zero points — niche or vendor stats. Doesn't hurt, won't help.
Fixed-Value Affix
Flat-rate points for guaranteed crafted bonuses.
Meta Combo Bonus: Items with multiple distinct meta-tier affixes earn an additional bonus — rewarding rings that stack multiple high-value stats.
Rare Ring
Formula: Base (1) + Affix Score (up to 6) + Meta Bonus (up to 3) = 10
- →No guaranteed bonuses — every affix is random. Up to 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes.
- →Double-roll stats like Magic Find can appear as both prefix and suffix, handled automatically.
- →FCR, Life, Resistances, and Life Steal are the most impactful meta affixes.
Crafted Ring
Formula: Base (1) + Affixes (up to 4) + Craft Bonus (up to 2) + Meta Bonus (up to 3)
- →Guaranteed bonuses are scored separately. Random affixes stack on top.
- →Blood and Caster crafts earn craft bonus points; Hit Power and Safety currently do not.
- →Stacking a random Life affix on a Blood Ring's guaranteed life can earn extra craft bonus points.
Craft Type Guaranteed Bonuses
Blood Ring
Life steal is the draw — a strong meta stat. Shines with FCR, Life, or Resistances on top.
Caster Ring
Designed for casters. Really shines when random FCR, Mana, Life, or Resistances roll on top.
Hit Power Ring
Value comes from the random affixes — the guaranteed bonuses alone won't push a high score.
Safety Ring
Niche but powerful in PvP or HC. Damage Reduce is the draw here.

Amulets
The Amulet Checker supports Rare and Crafted Amulets using the same scoring framework as rings — but with its own affix pool and class-skill context. When a skills prefix is present (e.g. Sorceress Skills), certain secondary affixes like Mana or FCR can be elevated to a higher scoring tier automatically.
Class Skill Overrides: Adding a +Skills prefix (e.g. +2 Sorceress Skills) upgrades specific suffix tiers. For example, Mana becomes more valuable on a Sorceress amulet with +Skills because the class depends on it — the engine reflects this with context-sensitive tier upgrades.
Rare Amulet
Formula: Base (1) + Affix Score (up to 6) + Meta Bonus (up to 3) = 10
- →+2 to All Skills or +2 to Class Skills is the most impactful prefix — it defines the amulet.
- →FCR, Resistances, Life, and Mana are the strongest suffixes for caster amulets.
- →A double-meta amulet (+Skills + FCR + Resistances) can reach Premium or GG.
Crafted Amulet
Formula: Base (1) + Affixes (up to 4) + Craft Bonus (up to 2) + Meta Bonus (up to 3)
- →Caster Amulet's guaranteed FCR is a major advantage — casters hunt FCR on every slot.
- →Blood Amulet's guaranteed Life Steal is rare on amulets — pairs well with FCR or Resists.
- →Needs strong random affixes to score well; guaranteed bonuses alone won't reach GG.
Craft Type Guaranteed Bonuses
Blood Amulet
Life Steal on an amulet is rare — the main draw. Shines with FCR, Resists, or Life on top.
Caster Amulet
Guaranteed FCR is huge for casters. A Caster Amulet with +Skills or Resists can be game-changing.
Hit Power Amulet
Primarily crowd-control bonuses. Strong random affixes are essential for this craft to be competitive.
Safety Amulet
Niche but powerful for HC or PvP. Damage Reduce on an amulet is unusual. Needs strong randoms.

Gear
The Gear Checker scores Circlets, Boots, and Gloves using the same 0–10 point-based engine and the Shared Value Tier Scale above. Each affix earns points from its ScoringTier × roll quality, and item-type-specific meta bonuses reward the combinations that actually drive demand for that slot.

Circlets
Formula: Base (1) + Affix Score + Meta Bonus = 10. Circlets use the same class-skill context overrides as amulets — when a skills prefix (e.g. Sorceress Skills) is present, secondary affixes like FCR, Mana, or Resistances can be elevated to a higher scoring tier automatically.
Meta-Gated Bonuses: The meta bonus only unlocks when a class-skill prefix is present AND its gate requirements pass — a set of required affixes at a minimum roll plus a number of qualifier affixes. Discrete stats like Faster Cast Rate, Faster Run/Walk, and Poison Length Reduced use fixed per-value point tables instead of roll bands.
- →+2 to Class Skills defines a circlet the same way it defines an amulet — it unlocks the context overrides and the meta gate.
- →FCR, Faster Run/Walk, All Resistances, and Life are the strongest secondaries once a skills prefix is in place.
- →A circlet with no skills prefix still scores its affixes, but the meta bonus stays locked.

Boots — Rare
Formula: Affix Score (up to 6) + Meta Bonus (up to 4) = 10. Each affix earns its tier score for the roll band, capped at 1 point, and the total affix score is capped at 6.
Meta Bonus (Resist + FRW Gate): The bonus unlocks only with 30% Faster Run/Walk AND three resistance affixes. With three resists it's worth up to 4.00 (4.00 if the resist total is ≥ 90, else 2.00), scaled by the average roll quality of those resists. An alternate path unlocks with 30% FRW, exactly two non-poison resists, and Poison Length Reduced for a flat 2.00.
- →30% FRW + three high resists (total ≥ 90) is the GG boot profile — full meta bonus.
- →Single resists, All Resistances, and Poison Length Reduced are the stats that feed the meta bonus.
- →Without 30% FRW the meta bonus stays locked, capping a rare boot's score at its affix points.

Gloves — Rare
Formula: Base (1) + Affix Score + Meta Bonus = 10. The meta bonus is gated on a +2 Amazon skill prefix (Javelin & Spear OR Bow & Crossbow) AND 20% Increased Attack Speed.
Two Meta Paths: Javelin & Spear earns +0.50 per extra meta-eligible affix (capped +2.00); Bow & Crossbow earns +0.25 per extra meta-eligible affix (capped +1.00). The +2 skill and the 20% IAS unlock the bonus but don't stack it.
- →+2 Javelin & Spear + 20% IAS is the premium glove profile — the higher meta path.
- →Knockback, Life Stolen, Mana, and Resistances on top feed the meta count once the gate is open.
- →Without a +2 Amazon skill and 20% IAS, the meta bonus stays locked.
Gloves — Crafted
Formula: Base (1) + Random Affixes (up to 4) + Craft Bonus (up to 2) + Meta Bonus. Blood and Hit Power gloves carry a meta pool (Blood 3.00, Hit Power 1.50) that only unlocks when Increased Attack Speed is present; Caster and Safety have no meta pool.
Blood Gloves
Meta pool 3.00 (needs IAS). Life Stolen can double-weight when guaranteed + random both roll high.
Caster Gloves
No meta pool. Craft bonus rewards combined Mana (guaranteed + random) reaching 41+.
Hit Power Gloves
Meta pool 1.50 (needs IAS). Value comes from strong random affixes on top.
Safety Gloves
No meta pool. The guaranteed Cold Resist can stack with a random Cold Resistance affix.
